A Visit To The Good Food And Wine Show
Team South Burnett members Jason Ford and Helen Pratt visited Brisbane's Good Food and Wine Show on the weekend, rubbing shoulders with some of Australia's most celebrated foodies. Hot on the heels of his high-rating TV series 'Jamie's Kitchen Australia', Tobie Puttock (pictured above with Jason) was in town cooking up a storm, and demonstrating why he's Jamie Oliver's right hand man downunder. Tobie is Head Chef of the Fifteen Melbourne Restaurant. The purpose of Fifteen is to inspire disadvantaged young people to believe that they can create for themselves a career in the restaurant business.
Helen had the exciting opportunity to meet one of her greatest inspirations, best-selling Author and TV Chef Stephenie Alexander (pictured above with Helen), who was promoting her latest literary offering 'Kitchen Garden Cooking'. Stephanie's new book supports one of her greatest passions, The Kitchen Garden Foundation which exists to develop life-long healthier and happier eating habits in a new generation of Australians by engaging them in growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing delicious and healthy food at primary school.
