Fraser Coast Meets the South Burnett
On the Father's day weekend, Hervey Bay got a taste of South Burnett cuisine when Team South Burnett Captain Jason Ford (pictured above) presented cooking demonstations at the 2007 Fraser Coast Living Expo.
Jason was invited by the Rotary Club of Hervey Bay to entertain the crowds with several cooking shows over the two-day lifestyle expo, on the Seafront Oval at Pialba.
Among other guest speakers was former Australian and rugby league player Steve Walters and Brisbane Botanical Gardens Curator Ross McKinnon.
Jason used the opportunity to showcase some of the best produce from his regions, such as The Peanut Van's Hi Oleic peanuts, and award winning Kingaroy Cheese.
