Team South Burnett Attends Awards Night

Team South Burnett finally had an opportunity to relax, when they attended the LifeStyle FOOD Channel Australian Regional Culinary Competition Awards Night. The Gala event was held at Adelaide Hyatt Regency ballroom.

The team had the opportunity to meet with many of the other regional teams that competed in the culinary competition, including Queensland's Team Gold Coast and Team Sirromet.

Also amongst the hundreds of dinner guests was a myriad of cookbook authors, TV personalities and celebrity chefs, such as Maggie Beer from ABC TV's 'The Cook and the Chef' (pictured above with Helen Pratt) and Seven Sunrise resident chef Darren Simpson (pictured above with Matthew McMurdy).

Unfortunately Team South Burnett did not place in the top three, but were satisfied to receive praise from members of the judging panel, meet the other teams and to rub shoulders with the many industry leaders who attended the event.
